The name aventurine derives from the Italian "a ventura" meaning "by chance". It is also called "sunstone". Aventurine is a member of the quartz family. It is most commonly found in a forest green color, but can also be found in orange, brown, yellow, blue, and gray. Aventurine is easily characterized because it often has flecks of mineral inclusions that give it a sparkly look. Aventurine is found in many parts of the world including India, Brazil, and Russia.
Aventurine is often called the Lucky Talisman and is popular with gamblers and risk takers. It is believed to be an all purpose healing stone that promotes clear thinking and a positive attitude. Some other qualities of Aventurine are:
- Aventurine strengthens your blood and muscle tissues
- Anxiety and fear are released if you wear Aventurine

Legends say that it is an all-purpose healer, used to reduce stress, develop confidence, imagination and improve prosperity. A legend from ancient Tibet says that aventurine was used to improve nearsightedness and to increase the wearer's creativity.
Many believe that aventurine has the capacity to calm a troubled spirit and bring about inner peace.

od włoskiego "awenture" - "przypadek" To ciemnozielona odmiana kwarcu. Nazywany również Kamieniem Slonecznym (zwlaszcza jego czerwona odmiana). Kamień ten wspaniale uzdrawia nasze emocjonalne rany.
